. . . but whilst my heart does go out to my fallen comrades in the Medlab, I do have a rather pressing question: What is a Deathstrike and why am I meant to be concerned? I mean, yes, certainly the monicker "Deathstrike" does not imply a sunbathed field of daisies through which fluffy kittens cavort, but there are levels.

(And no, I did not mispost; I simply do not care to ask on the team comm and be ridiculed for not reading over the entireity of seven years' of mission reports whilst a trainee.)

I freely confess to skimming the older ones. I think I may be forgiven for forgetting some of the details, as I came into the trainee programme shortly after a brainwashing. Some retention problems are to be expected.

I wasn't intending to criticize you, I apologize. I was particularly fervent in studying the mission reports when I was a trainee, it was my favorite part of the training.

No worries. Even I may admit the records were not without a certain degree of entertainment value: for example, if not for mission reports I would not have the lovely mental image of Haroun breaking into song during a battle between probability warpers.

If you are ever minded to do so, great comedy can be had by making up a drinking game. I believe there was a list at one point, though I'm not sure where it went. Fair warning, however; abiding by the "Take one drink every time Cable returned from a mission unconscious" clause alone could lead to liver failure.

Be grateful you did not partake during Version 1.0. Jen and I were often quite sick until we made special allowances for Acts of Dayspring.

There have been some very interesting missions, I have to agree.

I don't tend to participate in drinking games, but I imagine it would not be too hard to get drunk quickly thanks to clauses such as that. If there were not so many underaged team members, I would suggest it as a fun team bonding exercise.

Alcohol is not imperative; I should think sparkling cider or the non-alcoholic beverage of choice would substitute easily enough. I did not myself pay particular attention to age restrictions, but I can respect the choices of those who do.

The more I think on it, the more I think this an idea worth pursuing. Few enough of us were around for Alkalai Lake, and in light of this new threat I think it would only be responsible to review the pertinent files.

We must do this. For the good of the team.
