Birthday Celebration

I would like to invite all of you to celebrate my exit from being a teenager and my entrance into being a young woman in her twenties. I know that this is a bit of a late notice, and some or all of you may already have other plans, but if you are interested in attending, please let me know.

On the evening of Friday the 8th of February, a private jet will be arriving in New York. If you wish to attend, prepare for a long flight, time-zone change, and be sure to bring your passport.

(Also, yes, everyone who is invited is of the legal age to drink alcoholic beverages where we will be going.)

When would we expect to be back? Mainly because I've got the Saturday bus run, and if all my usual back-ups are at the same thing (since they're all on this list), I might have to wrangle something special. Time zones might help with that, tho'.

I believe that there is a six hour time difference, as in it is six hours later there. As the plan was to leave Friday evening, we would not be back in time for the Saturday bus run. We could leave Saturday evening instead, if that would work better for you.

And again, no issues with that. Just don't appreciate the 'have to' tone. Especially when I've been sort of snowed under with work, between the three projects I've got on the go, plus whatever Wanda, Remy or Pete might throw at me. I do the best I can, Ange, no need for the directives.

Perhaps he simply wants you to have a bit of fun? I am certain that he did not mean to imply that you are required to attend my party. Maybe "You should go" might have been a better way to phrase it, or even "I'd like for you to go," but I do not believe he meant any harm.

For what it's worth, yes, I'd like to come to your birthday, especially now Marie's offered to take the kids for me. Although I have no idea what sort of present to get a Princess of Attilan. ;)

You try spending two and a half years in another dimension, with the population of an entire country, and then tell me if it should be considered cheating.

There are worse fates. You and Forge found yourselves in the alternate dimension which enables you a headstart on any number of ridiculous drinking laws, whilst I must be content with that which inflicted painful chemical burns. Not to compare the experience, but I am absolutely comparing the experience.

I have no conclusion to this assertion, I simply feel the need to remind the school at large every so often.

Unfortunately, 'the school at large' does not have access to this particular communication system, and therefore you have not reminded most of the people currently residing in the mansion. Now, this is not to say that I believe that you should make another post to remind everyone or compare experiences, but simply to remind you of this fact.

Besides, we actually lived those years. It is not as though we suddenly aged in just one month. We lived those months, those weeks, those days, down to the last minute. It was not exactly a fun summer vacation.

Yes, indeed. In truth I do know that in the month you were absent your days were full of a life every bit as rich as the two years you yourselves experienced, and acknowledge it as such.

However, until persisting otherwise ceases to be such a vast annoyance to Forge, we shall keep this between you and I.
