I do not envy Mr. Summers. He has to deal with this topic at least once a year, and having been the cause of one such memorable discussion, probably isn't too excited about having it brought up again.

Mark is not underage, though. Whatever else happened, whatever decisions were made by underage parties to drink, that was their decision. I do not have much of a fascination with drinking. The legal drinking age in Attilan is sixteen, and I did drink at that age. However, I did so only where it was allowed and have never purchased or consumed alcohol in a country where I had not yet reached the legal age to drink.

My personal opinion is that discussions of consuming alcoholic beverages, whether the people in question are of the proper drinking age or not, is a topic best discussed in private or on a communication system that cannot be read by the students attending Xavier's. Post-it notes aside, some topics are simply not appropriate to be posted and discussed on a journal that can be read by everyone on the shared journal system.
